An Roobaert
Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is method of healing which treats the causes of ailments rather than the symptoms.

Everything in the body is connected. Every structure affects all the others. This means that a muscle that is too tense can have an effect on a surrounding structure; for example, the diaphragm can be too tense,

thereby affecting the mobility of the thoracic spine.

In an osteopathic treatment, therefore, we perform certain techniques on the diaphragm. In that way, you indirectly make the thoracic spine more supple.

Using manual techniques (mobilisation, fascial techniques, and manipulation) we can stimulate the circulation, improve mobility and assist possible compensation mechanisms.

If one bodily function or organ malfunctions, the effect will be felt throughout the body.

Imbalance of this kind lies at the root of physical disorders such as pain, tiredness and hypertension.
